When I give you advice, please take it!
I will definitely be the first to let you know I don’t know everything. However after 6 years, there’s a lot I do know when it comes to night club promotions.
Whenever someone new comes into town or a team looks to break into event marketing, I try to help them as much as I can and share the knowledge I have.
1. So they don’t make the same mistakes I made.
2. To give them a shortcut to major success in a tough industry.
I myself wish there was some manual or mentor I had when starting out in event marketing for night clubs. What I did do is call a promotion company in a different state that I heard a lot about and wrote down everything they said in the 1 hour conversation.
I took their words to heart, and tweaked it in my own way. I figured since they’ve been successful at event promotion, they must know a thing or two and advice must be valuable.
Now what does this have to do with breaking into a new market or niche you ask?
Well, recently I spent an hour and half giving advice to a new group trying to promote events in my city. They ended up not using the information I gave them and the end result was 60-80 people in an 800 people venue.
